Brian Clouph, Stand Nottingham Forest FC Illumination

  Look4ideas Design was commissioned by Nottingham FFC to deliver a lighting scheme for their iconic Brian Clough stand and to celebrate the 150 years of the club since it was founded in 1865.
  It was a really challenging project as we had to illuminate precisely each column with minimal light split out while at the same time keep within a very tight budget. After testing many off the self products that could not deliver the clients brief we decided to go a bit creative and adopted a little bit risky strategy.
  We contacted an LED lighting manufacturer and based on their off the self product we redesigned the optics and cabling to fit the brief. It was almost working blind but our experience and creativity matched with a trusted manufacturer we re-engineered a new product that worked perfectly. Each LED light is individually controlled and capable of colour mixing. We have delivered 8 programmed themes with a basic Red-White that are the colours of the Club as well as a Mexican wave celebrating colour sequence, Home and away play and a few other static colours.
  We will be adding more themed colours including rendering The Nottingham Forest logo

York City council Exterior Illumination

• Description:
  York City Council new building illumination April 2012.
  A collaboration of Adam Spinos (Look4ideas Design www.look4ideas.com) and artist Jo Fairfax. We have designed a system of 12 slowly colour changing ground fitted up-lighting RGB LEDs that keeping with the character of the building we enhanced its appearance during the afternoon and evening hours.
  We supplied installed and program the system. The programming at normal mode runs soft hews of colours and it is programmed to be interactive with trains arriving and leaving from/to London and Edinburgh. Once a train arrives for example from London to York you can see 6 second "steam blast" of colour from left to right towards the entrance of the building and then the entrance of the building is illuminates turquoise while the train is at the platform then a colour change as the trains door close and another "steam blast" of colour going to the right of the entrance. If the train comes from Edinburgh it works the opposite way…… Train sound effects optional in peoples mind ……!!
  Also there are 6 pre-programmed sets of static illuminations that set by the client if required to override the main sequence.
  The building has been renovated and refurbished to high standards and we are very proud being part of this project and delivering our design. Official opening May 2013

  12 Windows of Cheers Xmas 2012 Nottingham - exhibition

• Description: This is one of the 12 Windows of Cheer for Xmas 2012.
  The project was conceived and produced by Sarah Davenport who invited Look4ideas as one of twelve creative pioneers of Nottingham to launch a window to inspire the public over Christmas.
  The Look4ideas window entitled ‘Enchanting Enlightenment was designed with the help of Fiona Allardyce who painted the "Frost window" on a bespoke made canvas and acrylic paint and Alison Hand from the Dezigne shop who threaded the snow fall scene.
  Big thanks to Sarah, the Nottingham City Council and the Nottingham BID for the amazing opportunity, and to Connexions who allowed us to borrow the window of their property for a month.

  This is our entry to the Re-Think Athens Architectural Competition August 2012.
  That was organised and funded by the Onassis Cultural centre in Athens. This was a Collaboration of Look4ideas Design LLP (Adam Spinos), Conception Architects (Valeria Passetti and Simon Mason) and Jo Fairfax Studio. It was our very first experience and venture to such a large scale project. Our design was a fusion of Architecture, Urban regeneration, culture and business.

  Tide Flow - Seaham new Medical Care Center

• Client: Seaham City Council
• Concept instalation & Design: Jo Fairfax in collaboration with Look4ideas - Adam Spinos.
• Description: Another amassing collaboration of Look4ideas Design (Adam Spinos) www.look4ideas.com and artist Jo Fairfax www.jofairfax.co.uk . Also a massive thank you to P+HS architects www.pandhs.co.uk and the main Contractor team from Carillion. Stage One – Competed at The new Seaham Primary Care Centre County Durham UK. 13 exterior LED flood lights were installed. All the LEDs are individually controlled and colour changing following and simulating the local tide. 55 tide levels were selected and pre-programmed. Each level flows to the next over 16.16 minutes period. The flow is very slow and non intrusive while giving a dynamic edge to the building – an ever changing character with thousands of mixing levels among the mains programmed ones. The ever changing and flowing of the tide although has predictable levels it has thousands of combinations and flow patterns. A dynamic colour painting in the urban environment. The Illumination can be seen from the seafront making it a local and national attraction. The project took just under a year to complete Stage 2 of the regeneration of St John's square in front of the care centre coming soon

Metamorhic Light - The Rock Bury

  Collaboration of artist Jo Fairfax and lighting designer Adam Spinos from Look4ideas Design have joined forces to deliver an artwork for one of the most exciting regeneration projects of 2010 in the UK. "The Rock" is a new city centre development for Bury designed by BDP architects. Jo Fairfax has created a concept of 24 light sculptures to decorate the main pedestrian area. Look4ideas Design took the concept and in close work with Jo and BDP have created a realistic design of 24 hollow light sculptures of various heights made from acrylic. Each light sculpture inside will be filled with Look4ideas' branded pixel LEDs and will have an ultrasonic sensor. The light sculpture has been designed to be interactive with the public and respond to different movements depending on the day of the year. Look4ideas is also coordinating the delivery of this artwork. Adam Spinos comments - "This is a refreshing and beautiful addition to an exciting development despite the slow market. Our design skills have been pushed beyond what we thought possible". The site and artwork are planned to be delivered to the Bury public in the summer 2010

"Liquid Sun" 2009
